You Made It Weird #67: Jerrod Carmichael

Jerrod Carmichael (Variety’s Top Comics to Watch, Comedy!) comes in for an INCREDIBLE YMIW, a talk that just filled Pete with wonderful creative happiness and joy. FOR REAL. Pete honestly doesn’t want to give too much away. He also wrote this in third person. Just trust us: it’s a good one. GET INTO IT, YOU WEIRDOS!

  1. I just discovered this podcast a few weeks ago & I’ve been listening to all the older episodes & this is by far one of my favorites.

Jerrod’s mantra of being in the moment, keeping it real, and to keep going are wonderfully positive traits…And very surprising from a cat that young.

I also loved that he was open about his faith and how Pete was respectful about it. Spirituality often gets a bad rap especially from those in the creative community, but it was cool hearing an open discussion about the topic with no judgement from either side.

Great show Pete & crew…Can’t wait to get caught up with all the episodes. Keep It Crispy!

  2. Bobby Lorello says:

I just came off stage, and I needed a good night, and I too Jerrod’s advice from this episode, and just kept going, and it made this night wonderful. Thank-you, both of you, you inspirational, kind, geniuses.

  3. Pierre says:

What is this, the black Pete Holmes?

  4. Brian says:

I’m an atheist, but Jerrod is an excellent example of the type of religious person I have infinite respect for. The world would be a better place if all Christians expressed their faith like him.

  5. Eric O. says:

    Wash my damn yoga towels!

  6. Jimi says:

Meh. This episode may have suffered from a little too much build up in the description.

  7. Marie says:

“I believe you have these thoughts.” Yes, exactly! Nothing is funnier than painful honesty.

  8. Christie Walsh says:

Best Chippendales dancer would be a widower pushing a stroller.

  9. Ronald Metellus says:

    This was so good!!

  10. David says:

I like how Pete has gone from saying just this episode is amazing to the next 6-8 episodes are amazing.

  11. Jessica says:

First few minutes are already delightful!!!!!! Super excited for this ep
