It’s been 14 years since the wonderful Paul Feig brought us a series of his own. There is, of course, Freaks and Geeks, which came to an end way too soon, but the wait for Feig’s next series is over: Yahoo has just announced the latest shows to be added to their production slate, and one of them is Feig’s Other Space.

Feig himself just tweeted:

Excited to announce my new project w/@YahooScreen. It’s a sci-fi comedy & my 1st series since F&G. Stay tuned for more details. #together

From the brief description of “a misfit group of space adventurers who stumble upon an alternate universe,” Other Space  could be a Freaks and Geeks set in space. 8 half-hour episodes have been ordered by Yahoo, and will be coming most likely by the end of this year or in 2015. I’d wish the date would be sooner, but Feig’s already busy with Spy and the Peanuts movie and whatever else he’s got going under his Fox overall deal.
