X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Finds Its JUBILEE

The list of new mutant additions for the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse film from Fox keeps growing, as director Bryan Singer announced via his Instagram than newcomer actress Lana Condor has been cast as that firework powered, bubble gum popping, valley girl X-Man named Jubilee.

A young version of Jubilee was seen in Singer’s first two X-Men movies, but I guess he’s Days of Future Past-ing that version away. Although the next X-Men movie is set in the ’80s, Jubilee is more of a 1990s character, becoming a fixture of the Jim Lee era of X-Men comics, as well the early ’90s animated series that introduced the team to a whole generation of fans. (Jubilee did first appear in a 1989 issue of Uncanny X-Men, so I guess she counts as an ’80s X-Man, if you want to get all technical about it.)

I'd officially like to welcome our newest mutant #JubilationLee, #Jubilee @LanaCondor to #XMEN #Apocalypse

Recently, rumors have surfaced that not only will Wolverine also be in X-Men: Apocalypse, but he’ll be joined once again by Halle Berry as Storm and Ian McKellen as Magneto, both of which suggest there is some portion of Apocalypse will takes place in the new future that we see at the end of Days of Future Past. It’s possible Jubilee will be a part of that future timeline, or she’ll be a member of Xavier’s class along with young version of Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm and Nightcrawler. With Channing Tatum‘s Gambit also rumored to cameo (before getting his own movie later that year) — and with the exception of Rogue — that’s all the main animated X-Men getting to play some kind of role in Apocalypse it seems.

Who else would you like to see in X-Men: Apocalypse? Let us know in the comments below.

Just to name a few from my 70s and 80s obsession with the x-men( by the way Jason, there can never be enough wolverine) how about the older banshee when he has full mastery over his powers, A grown havoc with full control over his powers and accualy make him Cyclops brother. the iceman who finaly figured he could turn to ice, Polaris, colossus, Bishop. is that too much to ask? and please let apocalypse manipulate wolverine and make him death in the four horseman

    Howard the Duck

  3. Gary Mitchell says:

The character that should’ve been in Future Past instead of Quicksilver if Fox hadn’t been so intent on playing “Who’s-got-the-biggest-d*ck?” with MCU: Northstar.

  4. Brandon says:

Omega red! And not as a cameo. And get your damn timelines together!!! I don’t care if how many different directors are working on this series, stop slapping your fans in the face. It’s like you don’t watch you own movies.

  5. Jason says:

Is this movie going to be all about just Wolverine? Again? And Gambit (aka Longshot’s lame replacement) sucks.

  6. Chris says:

She looks like she will be perfect, as long as she cuts her hair.
