The emotional trailer for Captain America: Civil War was unveiled last week, with Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live to debut the clip. While they were on Kimmel’s couch, the two joked about hot Atlanta summers, and having to return to the city soon. What could this mean? Well, they might be talking about Civil War reshoots, but with the movie being released in May, they wouldn’t have to worry about the sweltering heat, would they? Infinity War is too far away to shoot this summer, but we do know of one Marvel movie that is confirmed to shoot in the Georgia capital: Spider-Man. That’s right! Does this mean that Captain America and Iron Man will appear in the newest version of Peter Parker‘s on-screen adventures? Early rumors reported the title would be Spider-Man: The New Avenger and focus on Spidey “auditioning” to become a full member of the superhero team, so it’s not out of line to think the Avengers might show up. But do we really want to see more Avengers in another Marvel solo flick?
Join Jessica Chobot as we explain the reasons why we’d rather let our Marvel solo movies be solo stories, on today’s Nerdist News.
