Will DARK TOWER Finally Get Made?

The complicated story of the development of this film franchise could rival the length of the prolific series itself, but after 8 long years of potential studio partners, Stephen King‘s magical Old West saga Dark Tower finally has a release date from Sony. Attached to direct is Nikolaj Arcel, a self-professed fanatic for the series of books about the “gunslinger” Roland Deschain’s surreal and fantastic journey towards the sometimes-metaphysical titular tower. We think the film is in good hands, and have high hopes for the television series that will accompany the film.

Join Jessica Chobot as she breaks down all the reasons we think we will finally get the Dark Tower adaptation that we deserve, on today’s Nerdist News!

Thanks for watching today’s show! We’re talking about why the Thing has no dick in the latest from Nerdist Presents, and let us know in the comments if you think the Dark Tower will survive the jump from the page to the silver and not-so-silver screen.
