Will AMERICAN HORROR STORY Episode 6 Change the Show Forever?

Wednesday night’s American Horror Story simultaneously told us everything and nothing at all. We’re finally starting to get some answers revealing the history behind the house, as well as some deeper ties to every previous season. These clues might just be the thing giving us an idea as to where the rest of the show is headed! Finally!

We’ve spoken before about the connections between Murder House and My Roanoke Nightmare, but now that we’ve hit episode four, the ties are even stronger and more insane than we ever would’ve guessed. It turns out everyone who’s ever owned the house has either died or gone missing, all the way back to the 1700’s when Edward Phillipe Mott built the ancient mansion. But as we prepare for the major reveal of episode 6, we’re realizing just how deep the connections are between each episode so far and seasons past—and that means for the future of the series itself.

Ryan Murphy has said episode 6 will be a huge turning point in the show, and that the show we think we’re watching is “not what (we’re) watching.” Knowing Murphy’s penchant for all things straight-up bananas, where could the show go? What’s the most insane thing that could happen in this world? Buckle up guys, because our theory is that episode 6 will be the the episode where the real world and the reenactment might actually, physically collide. What if the demonic energy on the land is so strong that the reenactment actors end up stuck in the endless hell-cycle of the house, trapped with the evil spirits that reign supreme? And who would be the people to save them? The real life Matt and Shelby, duh! While we’re well aware all of this sounds insane, that’s kind of Ryan Murphy’s thing… right?

So what do you guys think? Is episode 6 going to be where all the world’s collide? Is there a half-human witch baby cooking inside Lady Gaga’s ancient womb? Who’s next on the chopping block for the Butcher? Let’s discuss!!
