What’s the Big Twist at the End of CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR?

We’ve been anticipating the release of Captain America: Civil War for what seems like eons, and now we’re debating a theory so contentious, we’re getting impatient just thinking about it. The film’s directors Joe and Anthony Russo recently gave an extensive interview to Empire, and they had some interesting things to say about how the movie will lead into the rest of Marvel’s Phase 3. They mention an “extreme shift” to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s psychology, and the film having a “controversial ending.”

What could this mean? Well, what’s been clear from the get-go is that Civil War will not be a direct adaptation of the comic book storyline it’s named after. But that hasn’t stopped fans from wondering: will the movie keep the comic book ending, which featured a major character death? We have our own theory, and while we do think a major character will bite the bullet, we don’t think it’s going to be the same one from the print-version. So who will it be?!

Join Jessica Chobot as we discuss the reasons why and how we think the upcoming film will divert from the original comic book storyline, on today’s Nerdist News WTFridays.

Thanks for watching today’s show! Make sure to check out Jessica and Dan Casey duke it out for action star status with some stunt pros, and don’t miss Dan livestreaming on Periscope from the Spirit Awards red carpet tomorrow.

Wipe away those tears and let us know in the comments who you think we will have to say goodbye to at the end of Captain America: Civil War, and how you think it will go down.
