What’s Next for THE WALKING DEAD, RED OAKS Promo, and More TV News

When fans anticipate something as much as the season seven premiere of The Walking Dead, they’re going to be discussing it for days. To that end, today’s TV-Cap has a preview on next week’s episode, comments about the cliffhanger, and an interview with the actor who played of Negan’s victims. All of that is at the bottom so you don’t have to worry about trying to avert your eyes if you don’t want to see spoilers.

Rewind for Retro. Amazon’s Red Oaks is back with season two on November 11, and they just released a new promo that’s modeled on commercials from the ’80s. It’s delightfully cheesy and fitting for the series set in the distinct decade. Follow up the promo with a viewing of the complete trailer–both are embedded above. [Deadline]

A Timeless Twist. If you watched last night’s Timeless, you know there was a fun James Bond twist. Sean Maguire played Ian Fleming in the series, and he talked with Sydney about the character and the joy of getting to portray such an iconic character. Read the interview here at Nerdist.

Crossover Meet-Up. The four-part CW DC crossover will begin airing on November 28. I don’t even want to think about the logistics of planning the event, but everyone in this photo shared by Arrow’s Rick Gonzalez looks happy. I spot Supergirl, The Flash, Ragman, Wild Dog, and Mister Terrific. [CBR]

All Stars. Syfy’s Face Off is heading into its eleventh season on January 24, and the upcoming installment will be special. The competitors will be all stars from previous seasons of the special effects makeup series including Gage Hubbard, Jasmine Ringo, and more. Get the full list of participants at Deadline.

Recap City. Oh hey, what television did you enjoy last night? Because maybe you need to relive it, and you can do so with our latest Batch O’ Recaps. We have them for Supergirl (Lynda Carter as POTUS!), Gotham (Penguin feelings!), and Timeless (James Bond!).

It’s The Walking Dead from here on out, complete with spoilers from the season seven premiere. You’ve been warned.

What’s Next? After the uh, extreme, introduction of Lucille on Sunday, where will The Walking Dead goes next? Jessica Chobot covers the bases in the latest Nerdist News. [Nerdist]

But Why? No one seemed super thrilled about the massive cliffhanger season six of The Walking Dead ended on. In fact, fandom was so annoyed I don’t think the series will make the mistake again. Series producers appeared on Talking Dead after the season seven premiere and explained the reasoning behind their choice. Scott Gimple more less explained it was to paint a certain picture of Negan. Read his explanation here at Nerdist.

Picking at the Scab. Let’s keep irritating a raw wound, shall we? AMC talked to both Michael Cudlitz and Steven Yeun about their characters’ deaths, keeping the secret about exiting the series, and what they think the loss of Abraham and Glenn means for the series. Aww. Read what they had to say here and here at AMC. [TVLine]

Just Ahead. In the immediate future, The Walking Dead is about “The Kingdom.” A preview for the next episode shows Morgan is taking Carol to meet the leader. [Nerdist]
