Welcome back to the world of weekdays, friends. Since it is a weekday, that means it’s time for TV-Cap! Today I have some Westworld photos for you to feast your eyes upon, a video showing Millie Bobby Brown getting her head shaved for her Stranger Things role, some casting news, and more.
A Dark World. HBO’s Westworld, a modern update of the Michael Crichton film of the same name, is arriving on October 2. The sci-fi series has a dark concept: Human masters have a theme park (Westworld) filled with androids that don’t know they’re being used for the amusement of said humas. That’s not creepy at all. New images from season one give us looks at the cast, and you can see a whole gallery o’ pics here at Nerdist. [Images: HBO]
Undercover. What if Jean-Claude Van Damme was a private contractor instead of an action film star? That’s the premise of the Amazon pilot Jean-Claude Van Johnson. It’s available as part of Amazon’s pilot season, and Michael reviewed it right this way.
All the Teasers. Say what you will about American Horror Story’s flood of teasersâthe constant trickle keeps the FX series in the headlines. And hey, there are four more teasers to add to the stack (to make a total of 19!) and a poster. None of them seem to completely give away the theme of the show’s sixth season, debuting on September 14. Watch a couple of teasers above and head to this Nerdist post to see the rest. [Image: FX]
Banana Cats. Need some amusement on your Monday? Meet Bananya, a cat that lives in a banana. And the cartoon also appears to feature other cats that also live in bananas? What is this world and why don’t I live in it? Watch some episodes for free at CrunchyrollâI bet they won’t make your day any worse. [Nerdist]
Casting Updates! I have casting news for American Gods and The Flash. Corbin Bernsen will portray Vulcan in the Starz’s adaptation of the Neil Gaiman book. Over in Central City, Joey King is set to play Magenta in the third episode of the season. [Comic Book Resources]
Meet the President. Lynda Carter is stopping by Supergirl in the upcoming season as the President of the United States (and it’s a recurring role!). Yes, it is perfect. Series star Melissa Benoist posted a picture of her with Carter on set, and it’s also perfect. The show returns to The CW with new episodes on October 10. [TVLine]
More Synth. The first volume of the soundtrack for Stranger Things is already in the wild, and if your ears are ready for more, you can stream the second volume of Michael Stein and Kyle Dixon’s work on Apple Music. The physical release happens September 23. [Nerdist]

A Transformation. Millie Bobby Brown went full on Furiosa for her role as Eleven in Stranger Things. She had her shoulder length hair chopped off and then shaved, and she’s shared video of the event on Twitter. I’m impressed with how little she freaks out… because if I did that, there would be tears. [TVLine]
Fate Confirmed. One more Stranger Things tidbit ahead, and this one’s spoilery so stop reading if you haven’t watched the Netflix series. Series creators Matt and Ross Duffer talked to IGN recently and discussed the second season (which still hasn’t officially been ordered) and the fate of two characters: Dr. Martin Brenner and Barb. Learn what happened to them here at Nerdist.
Animated Serenity. What if Firefly found new life as an animated series? We should all be so lucky. Artist Stephen Byrne has put together a brief fan-made preview showing us what it could be like, and I’m sold. [Nerdist]
Oh, Ned. Eddard Stark was one of the more honorable characters we met on Game of Thrones, so of course he didn’t last long. YouTuber TheGaroStudios has put together another character video, this time focusing on Ned and his honor. Watch the above and raise a glass to the Starks. [Nerdist]
It Didn’t Bug Us. The Tick pilot, starring Peter Serafinowicz as the hero in blue, has dropped on Amazon. Alicia watched it and shared her impressions here.
