Wes Anderson’s Characters Have Become Tarot Cards

Ever since his sophomore film Rushmore made a splash some 20 years ago, writer/director Wes Anderson has become one of the most distinctive voices in the world of film, creating modern classics like The Royal Tenenbaums, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and The Grand Budapest Hotel. Each of his films has a visual and musical style that lets you know it’s a Wes Anderson movie within seconds of just seeing the trailer, and many consider him to be one of the premiere auteurs of the twenty-first century.

Now, and artist named Brett Jones has taken the classic Tarot card format and paired each heading with a relevant character from Anderson’s classic films in what he is calling the “Wes Oracles.”

There are 32 beautifully illustrated cards in the pack, including the likes of Steve Zissou and Alistair Hennessey from The Life Aquatic, Chief and Atari Kobayashi from Isle of Dogs, Royal and Richie Tenenbaum from The Royal Tenenbaums, M. Gustave from The Grand Budapest Hotel, and many more.

So yes, that means you will soon be able to divine your future while looking at images of Jeff Goldblum sipping a martini, or Ralph Fiennes breaking out of European jail. What more could you ask for?
