Weird Al and The Gregory Brothers Take On The Last Presidential Debate

Bitter partisanship. Deep rancor. Dangerous divisiveness. Biting insults. The final presidential debate of 2016 was not exactly an uplifting event for America, but it turns out it had nothing to do with the animosity between the two candidates. Rather it was just that the whole thing wasn’t done in B-flat minor, with Weird Al Yankovic as the singing moderator, because it turns out debates are way more fun when you do them in song.

Fortunately, the Gregory Brothers are just what this nation needs as we (oh thank sweet heaven) come into the home stretch of this election season, and they didn’t let us down with their Auto-Tune song-ification of Wednesday night’s debate, titled “Bad Hombres, Nasty Women.”

Stepping in for moderator Chris Wallace in this musical summary was Weird Al (and a very strong fan), who helped lead Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump through a catchy take of the biggest low highlights of the evening. The title of the song comes from two of Trump’s most, um….unforgettable turns of phrase, which already feel like bigly additions to our national vocabulary.

Both Clinton and Trump throw out some great rhymes here, but our favorites were the segments on Mosul and Russia. And even though Weird Al said he’s too busy to accept a nomination for the Supreme Court, we would definitely want him confirmed if he promised to present all rulings in song form.

Plus, we’re pretty sure even Trump would accept an outcome if it were sung by Weird Al.

What was your favorite part of the song? It is your patriotic duty to tell us yours in the comments below.
