Watch the WESTWORLD Pilot for Free, THE PUNISHER Casting, and More TV News

New York Comic Con (NYCC) has wrapped its first day, and Amazon Presents started the avalanche of incoming TV news with their panel yesterday. They announced their order for a series based on Lore. Learn more in today’s TV-Cap and find out how you can watch the Westworld pilot for free, learn about some casting for The Punisher, and more TV news.

Get Hooked. Ready to learn what all the Westworld fuss is about? You can jump over to HBO to watch the 73-minute pilot for free. Of course, then you’ll have to decide whether to subscribe to HBO Now. [Slashfilm]

Talking with Luke. Mike Colter spent some time hanging out with fans on a Netflix-run live Facebook video on Wednesday. Please note his awesome shirt. He talks about Luke Cage, answers fan questions, and oh hey, Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) stop by virtually to mostly give Colter a hard time. They’re gonna kill The Defenders.

Spin This. The soundtrack of Marvel’s Luke Cage is a thing of beauty. It enriches the story in such a way that it may as well be its own character. And appropriately, Mondo is issuing the soundtrack on vinyl with striking artwork by Matthew Woodson. Get more info on the vinyl release at Nerdist. [Image: Mondo]

Ears and Eyes. Amazon dropped by NYCC on Thursday and announced they’ve placed a 10-episode order for Lore. Based on the podcast of the same name, Lore will be executive produced by Gale Anne Hurd, Ben Silverman, and Howard T. Owens. The podcast, created by Aaron Mahnke, explores the factual origins of legends and myths and I recommend putting in your ears as soon as you can. [Variety]

A Movement for Men. IFC’s Portlandia is going to tackle a serious issue in season seven–I mean, they’re all about serious issues. This time though, they’re asking, “What about the men?” Watch them discuss this v. important topic in the above preview. [A.V. Club]

Change Is Afoot. American Horror Story: My Roanoke Nightmare is chugging along, and apparently the sixth episode in the current season is going to change the game. Series co-creator Ryan Murphy has said it will be a huge turning point in the series. What could that possibly mean? Watch some serious theorizing happen on the latest Nerdist News. [Nerdist]

Casting Updates! Netflix’s The Punisher, currently filming, has added two new cast members. Ebon Moss-Bachrach will play former NSA analyst Micro, and Amber Rose Revah will portray Dinah Madani, a Homeland Security agent. [IGN]

Iron Art. Now that Luke Cage has dropped it’s time for Marvel to focus their efforts on Iron Fist. They’re doing some promo at NYCC with tattoo giveaways and a couple of art releases. The above videos show an Iron Fist variant cover by artist Jay Anacleto and colorist Romulo Fajardo featuring Finn Jones as the character and the concept art design process by Joe Quesada. [CBR]

Hunter Threat. Season 12 of Supernatural is getting bigger with the presence of Mary Winchester, chasing Lucifer, dealing with the British arm of the Men of Letters, and more. I mean, Mary driving the Impala. Pretty crazy/wild/great, right? Supernatural will be back on October 13. [Nerdist]

Will you be buying the Luke Cage soundtrack on vinyl? Talk to me about that and anything/everything else in the comments.
