Watch Daniel Radcliffe Rap Blackalicious’ ‘Alphabet Aerobics’ on THE TONIGHT SHOW

Just when we thought Daniel Radcliffe couldn’t get any more perfect, he has to go on and show off his flawless rapping skillz. Damn you, DanRad! [Shakes fists at the heavens.]

The pint-sized former wizard wowed everyone when he appeared on The Tonight Show to promote his newest movie, Horns. However, when host Jimmy Fallon inquired about Radcliffe’s love of rap, the Brit couldn’t help but mention he’s been memorizing lyrics since Eminem’s “The Real Slim Shady” and has a taste for verses that are particularly verbose and tricky.

Tangent: Speaking of Eminem, do you remember a couple months back when a video surfaced of Guardians Of The Galaxy star Chris Pratt rapping the shiz out of “Forgot About Dre?” We need to get Pratt and Radcliffe together for a rap battle. Maybe Fab 5 Freddy can even emcee the event. It seems like something he’d be totally down to do. Anywho…Tangent Over.

When asked if he could spit rhymes from the Blackalicious song “Alphabet Aerobics,” Radcliffe took off his jacket, grabbed the mic and proceeded to school our collective asses.

Though the camera didn’t capture The Roots’ reaction to Radcliffe’s performance, before they dropped the beat, Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter did give the Artist Formerly Known As Harry Potter a nod, which acted as a pretty solid indication of the magic to come.

Want to see how the actor’s rendition compares to the original? Check out the following video of Blackalicious performing the tongue-twisting track live in Seattle.

For those unfamiliar with the hip-hop duo, check out some of the pair’s older albums, like 2002’s Blazing Arrow or 2005’s The Craft. Frontman Gift Of Gab has long been hailed for his “astonishing verbal dexterity and enunciation,” according to Pitchfork, and fans can definitely expect more multisyllabic rhymes when the group drops their new album, Emoni, in March 2015.
