Not to break the fourth wall on the dashing and romantic antics that take place on Starz’s Outlander, but: sometimes when you’re shooting a show or movie, stuff goes hilariously wrong. And that goes doubly when you’re shooting a show like this one; chockablock with hulking and sometimes uncomfortable period costumes, on-location settings, and many an intimate moment, the opportunity for things to get messed up feels pretty much inevitable. But thankfully for us, it almost always gets caught on camera — and now we’ve got it here for you to view.
Perhaps the biggest takeaway from the whole thing — other than our admitted shock that there weren’t more hilarious antics involving animals and scary bugs — was the fact that no one on this show seems capable of standing on two feet for very long. (To which we say: we feel you. Cough.) In fact, it seems that the number two thing happening on this show, outside of all that sexy sexin’, is tripping and falling out in the woods.
The clip, which will also be featured on the season one DVD, premiered over the weekend at San Diego Comic-Con during the show’s panel and brought a sea of giggles to those in attendance. Thankfully for the Internet, though, you can watch it here, right now.
