Watch a Very Wrong SAUSAGE PARTY Red Band Clip, and More Movie News

If you’ve found this summer’s mainstream Hollywood fare to be a bit on the, well, tepid side, you might want to check out Seth Rogen‘s raunch-ridden animated film Sausage Party. We’ve got a new red band clip from the filthy film in today’s Movie Morsels, along with the latest on Thor: Ragnarok and a whole helluva lot more!

Sausage Party

Y’know, given the obvious comedic opportunities provided by wieners and buns, it’s kind of amazing that no one has seen fit to realize that potential in an animated movie before. Fortunately, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s Sausage Party looks like it will let no chances for such low-brow humor get away. See what I mean in the following NSFW clip…

Featuring the voices of Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd, Nick Kroll, David Krumholtz, Edward Norton, and Salma Hayek, Sausage Party arrives on August 12.

Thor: Ragnarok

Mark Ruffalo has officially completed work on Thor: Ragnarok. And since the screen’s finest Bruce Banner became increasingly adept at social media throughout his time on the film’s shoot, he’s commemorating the occasion with a new Instagram photo of him and his emerald-skinned alter ego…

Laugh now, cry later.

Taika Waititi directs Thor: Ragnarok, which also stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins, Cate Blanchett, Tessa Thompson, Jeff Goldblum, and Karl Urban. That, my friends, is a cast worthy of Asgard.

Allied

People magazine is offering us our first look at Marion Cotillard and Brad Pitt in Robert Zemeckis’ World War II-era romantic thriller. The magazine describes their on-set chemistry as “electric,” and it’s easy to see why. These are two very attractive people, who are perfectly channeling Ingrid Bergman and, if not Humphrey Bogart, then certainly Paul Henreid in Casablanca. The fabled titular city serves, uncoincidentally I’m sure, as the setting for this November 23 release…

Papillon

Mr-Robot-teaser

Mr. Robot‘s fan-favorite star Rami Malek will take on the Dustin Hoffman role opposite Charlie Hunnam as the Steve McQueen character in the remake of the 1973 classic Papillon. Michael Noer will direct the prison escape thriller, which starts shooting next month.

Max Rose

Although most Americans today associate Jerry Lewis with telethons and unfunny talk show appearances, there was, believe it or not, a time when Lewis was laugh-out-loud hilarious. Most famously during his 1950s screen partnership with Dean Martin, the perfect straight man to Lewis’ outrageous antics. So I’m happy to see the one-time King of Comedy will be back on the big screen in Max Rose, the trailer for which has just landed online. Don’t expect any belly laughs in this drama. But to see why the man is revered by generations of American comedians, be sure to watch Artists and Models the next time it airs on TCM.
