Watch a Rivalry Reborn in this New DRAGON BALL Z: RESURRECTION ‘F’ Trailer

Grab your your fanciest scouter because things are about to get over 9,000. (Or 8,000 if you’re a purist.) As strange as it may sound to say about such a successful anime, Dragon Ball Z is experiencing something of a resurrection itself right now. There has been a resurgence in fan excitement ever since the recent announcement that after 18 long grueling years of non-hyperbolic chamber time, Toei Animation was finally going to produce a new animated series called Dragon Ball Super. Before that however, we will finally get the theatrical release of Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’, a follow-up to the generally well-received Dragon Ball Z: Battle of The Gods.

Take a moment to bask in the glorious hair-changing theatrics of the new film in the video above. It’s exciting to watch one of the biggest threats to the Z fighters make a miraculous return with a new, more Saiyan-like form. I especially love the part where Frieza says he won’t waste any time, opting to go right into his final form. It means we won’t have to endure 4 episodes of excruciating fillers (sorry, guys, I’m just Saiyan). Hopefully Shia Labeouf will make an appearance and motivate Goku into a more powerful state.

The short but sweet official trailer gives us a glimpse at what to expect from the featured film, which showcases even more bombastic battles than we’ve ever seen before. Watching Goku and Frieza duke it out once more at the same power level will be exciting. Even that old pervert Master Roshi powers up to join the battle which will inevitably decide the fate of planet Earth.

The film will have limited theatrical release from August 4th-12th, so make sure to take your flying Nimbus to the nearest ticket dispenser to nab one before it’s too late. How stoked are you about the comeback? Are you excited to once again watch the Z fighters enter battle? Let us know in the comments below.
