WARCRAFT’s Third TV Spot Has All the Action Ever

We’re still a few months away from the release of the unbelievably highly anticipated movie Warcraft, based on the Blizzard game universe, but that hasn’t stopped the studios from releasing all the TV spots possible on this March Madness weekend. Just on Friday, we showed you the second TV spot, and today we get to unveil the third. Where the previous entry was a minute long and took its time a bit setting up the fantasy action set pieces, this one’s half as long but some how seems to cram in three times as many thrills.

The first thing that stands out right away is the spot gives us a first look – and quite a long one at that – of the Orcish warlock Gul’dan, played in the movie by Daniel Wu. He looks exactly like all the pictures of him you’ve ever seen look, and that’s really damn cool. We also get a lot more of Garona (Paula Patton), Khadgar (Ben Schnetzer), and Lady Taria (Ruth Negga), who got a lot of screen time in the previous trailer. These quick cuts give us a really good sense of the all-out mayhem that seems to be in store as the humans fight the orcs.

But the thing that really got us excited? The only time this teaser slows down is to spend a little more time with that unnamed dwarf, now saying “You might want to head home, big man,” before aiming and firing a pistol. Who is this guy?!?! We can’t wait to find out. Except we’ll have to. Because that’s how time works.

Warcraft, directed by Duncan Jones and also starring Travis Fimmel, Toby Kebbell, and Dominic Cooper, will hit theaters on June 10.
