VERONICA MARS Alum Jason Dohring Will Get (Very) Serious on IZOMBIE

Warning: Spoilers follow for recent events in season three of iZombie.

The Veronica Mars alum known for playing the simultaneously beloved and hated Logan Echolls is in Seattle, and he means business. Introduced in a recent episode of iZombie, Jason Dohring is on board for a recurring guest arc as Chase Graves, the brother-in-law of Vivian Stoll. After her death, he stepped up to set a new tone for the operation of Fillmore Graves, bringing with him a much different approach than Vivian. When it comes to the looming D-Day, when civilians discover zombies are real, Chase is not screwing around.

TVLine gave us a heads-up about photos of Dohring in his new role for an upcoming episode, “Conspiracy Weary,” which show off how serious Chase is. Don’t go in expecting Dohring to be a Logan 2.0 in iZombie; you’ll be disappointed. Take your feelings for Logan and put them in a box.

Dohring is the latest in a line of Veronica Mars characters to stop by The CW show. iZombie showrunner Rob Thomas likes to pull in actors from his past projects–in fact, he told TVLine he’s been wanting to bring Dohring on board for a while, but scheduling issues got in the way. Dohring’s preceded on iZombie by former Veronica Mars castmates Kristen Bell (she voiced an erotic fiction writer in season two), Enrico Colatoni, Percy Daggs III, Ryan Hansen, Daran Norris (I adore him as Johnny Frost), Ken Marino, and Adam Rose. Yeah, this Marshmallow has been rather happy with the constant stream of guest stars.

Which other Veronica Mars actors do you hope to see in iZombie next season? I’m all about Tina Majorino. Tell me your pics in the comments.
