VALERIAN AND THE CITY OF A THOUSAND PLANETS Action Figures First-Look (Exclusive)

There are probably a thousand action figures you could make based upon Luc Besson‘s new epic movie, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, without exaggeration. The sheer number of worlds, creatures, and characters is overwhelming (you could make at least six figures based on Rihanna‘s shape-shifting Bubble alone), but you have to start with the heroes. And here they are: NECA‘s Valerian and Laureline, in their first official product photos.

Featuring the likenesses of actors Cara Delevingne and Dane DeHaan, these figures of the intergalactic agents come in their signature spacesuits to enhance their battle and running skills. They join the previously revealed K-Trons, which you can army-build for extra laser cannon-fodder.

Valerian has sustained a bit of battle damage, as seen from the right angle.

Both figures come with guns and holsters; we’ll undoubtedly find out more details at Comic-Con later this week. And here’s hoping for string sales, because there are so many other characters that need to be gotten to: the aforementioned Bubble, Ethan Hawke’s Dennis Hopper-inspired pimp, alien John Goodman, the aliens from Mul, the Doghan-Daguis (“Shingouz” to you fans of the comic), and that cute li’l replicator, for starters. If humans sell better, maybe we can get one of Herbie Hancock, even.

Dare to dream. For right now, enjoy the leads.
