Universal Orlando Opening WILLY WONKA-Inspired Chocolate Factory Restaurant

Fellow Willy Wonka fans, we have some sweet news to bring to you today. If you’ve ever dreamed of visiting an actual chocolate factory to indulge in its decadent creations just like Charlie Bucket, you will finally be able to do so. Universal Studios is opening a new restaurant that is clearly an homage to the most famous fictional chocolate factory ever, and it looks delectable.

Later this year, Universal Orlando will open The Toothsome Chocolate Factory, a restaurant that “will transport you into a 19th century-inspired Steampunk chocolate factory” with “towering smoke stacks, funky gadgetry, and staff wearing unique Steampunk fashion.” While it does not appear the restaurant is officially associated with either the classic movie or the, ahem, unfortunate remake, it certainly draws on both. Can’t you can just picture the Wonka Wash driving through here?

Patrons will be able to watch the “chocolate creations” be made and purchase them in the restaurant’s onsite shop. Also, you will be able to have a full dining experience, with “a menu that features unique twists on classic steak, seafood and pasta entrees, gourmet burgers, sandwiches, incredible salads, all-day brunch and so much more.”

The real stars though are, fittingly, the desserts.

They list a bunch of incredible soundings one, including the Chocolate x5 (“an explosion of chocolate with chocolate spirals, chunks, ice-cream and whipped cream”), Bacon Brittle (“a fun twist on a breakfast favorite with bacon ice cream, bacon brittle, chocolate covered bacon and bacon caramel”), and Espresso Buzzzz (“a coffee lover’s dream with coffee ice-cream and chocolate covered beans”), but really, who needs words when you can just look at some of these pictures.

We have some more in delicious photos in our gallery below to drool over.

Obviously you already know what all of this means–a feast. A BEANFEAST.

Look, I’m a bit of an expert on Willy Wonka concoctions, having ranked all of the candy from the film, so it’s probably best for everyone involved if we arrange for me to go down and test everything on the menu. I’m willing to do that, for you.

In the meantime, tell us in the comments below what you hope to see on the menu when the restaurant opens.
