TWIN PEAKS Adds Actors Patrick Fischler and David Dastmalchian

Despite the best intentions of David Lynch to keep the names of every cast member of Showtime’s upcoming Twin Peaks revival a secret — only main star Kyle MacLachlan was officially announced by the network — the names of returning cast and new faces keeps leaking out anyway. Now, two other actor’s names have been revealed, both of whom are familiar faces, if not quite yet familiar names.

The first of the two new character actors to join up is Patrick Fischler. While you might not recognize the name, you will definitely recognize the eyebrows; Fischler most recently starred in the Coen Brothers’  Hail, Caesar, and previously movies like Ghost World and Red State. He’s also been on dozens of television shows over the years, including fan favorite shows like Angel,  Once Upon a Time, Mad Men, Lost, and several more. Like the recently cast Naomi Watts, Fischler also got his breakout role in David Lynch’s Mullholland Drive, in one of the film’s creepiest and most memorable scenes.

The other new addition to the Twin Peaks cast is David Dastmalchian. He’s another name you might not recognize, but you definitely know the face, especially if you’re a fan of comic book movies. Dastmalchian’s breakout role was as one of the Joker’s cronies in a very memorable scene from The Dark Knight, and just least year appeared as one Scott Lang’s team of thieves in Ant-Man. He’s also appeared on TV shows like CSI: Cyber and ER.

Just who these two actors are playing is a complete mystery, which is exactly how Twin Peaks creator David Lynch likes it. Both actors join a ton of surviving members of the original cast (minus Michael Ontkean and Lara Flynn Boyle) and new additions like Amanda Seyfried, Naomi Watts, Tom Sizemore, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Laura Dern and Ashley Judd. The new season of Twin Peaks debuts in early 2017.
