TV-Cap: What Sansa’s Letter Said on GAME OF THRONES

Allow me to play Captain Obvious today and point out to you that it’s the middle of the week. Does anyone else have mixed feelings about Wednesdays? If so, follow my lead and put those feelings aside so we can discuss the latest television news. Read today’s TV-Cap to find out some details from the most recent Game of Thrones, to learn about how Vixen is coming to Legends of Tomorrow, to watch some epic Broadway carpool karaoke with Lin-Manuel Miranda, and more.

Warning: Game of Thrones spoilers ahead. Skip past the first three blurbs if you’re not caught up on Westeros news.

Decoded. Jon and Sansa need more bodies if they have any chance of taking back Winterfell, and when reminding the North wasn’t so successful, Sansa penned a letter. If you guessed the recipient was Littlefinger, it looks like you’re right. Some dedicated Redditors screen-capped and decoded the message. Sansa basically told Littlefinger, “You owe me. Bring the Knights of the Vale to Winterfell.” Will he betray her? You can see the decoded note at Nerdist. [Image: HBO]

What Is a Girl Doing? Arya Stark got away from the House of Black and White in the most recent Game of Thrones, but what’s next? She’s been stabbed… as far as we know. Maybe this is all some crazy trip. Jessica Chobot discusses the possibilities in Nerdist News. [Nerdist]

“I Choose Violence.” Sunday will bring the eighth episode of Game of Thrones’ sixth season. How is it possible we’re almost at the end of the season already? I’ll resist weeping in order to share the episode synopsis of “No One” with you: “While Jaime weighs his options, Cersei answers a request. Tyrion’s plans bear fruit. Arya faces a new test.” Ahh, what does it mean? Luckily, we have some expert thoughts from Alicia right this way.

You are officially in Game of Thrones-free territory now.

Sing It! Carpool Karaoke seems to be the best part of The Late Late Show with James Corden. The host took to Broadway to pick up some friends to help him navigate New York City before his Tony Awards hosting gig, and Lin Manuel-Miranda was at his service, sir. They sing Hamilton tunes, and then they pick up some stellar guests and croon some Rent. My favorite part is that they look just like I do when I’m rapping Hamilton in my car on the freeway. Bring It Home. Season two of Rick and Morty has arrived on Blu-ray, and that means it’s time for rejoicing, excitement, and all the happy feelings. Besides the episodes, extras on the discs include animatics, audio commentaries, and more. Read more about the Blu-ray and a snazzy contest to win it here at Nerdist.

Direct This. From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series will return with a 10-episode third season on El Rey Network soon, and they’ve made some announcements about the upcoming installments. First of all, Nicky Whelan and Maurice Compte will be joining the cast. Secondly, some new directors are coming to the series. Here’s the list of directors by episode: 1. Dwight Little, 2. Robert Rodriguez, 3. Alejandro Brugués, 4. Eagle Egilsson, 5. Eduardo Sanchez, 6. Rebecca Rodriguez, 7. Diego Gutierrez, 8. Eagle Egilsson, 9/10. Joe Menendez.

Stunt Win. Jessie Graff works as a stuntwoman on Supergirl and also competed in American Ninja Warrior’s season eight premiere. She became the first woman to defeat their new Warped Wall, and she did so while wearing a Wonder Woman costume. [Nerdist]

Another Version. The CW introduced the character Vixen in an animated series and then brought the voice actress, Megalyn E.K., to live action in Arrow. Now, Legends of Tomorrow is adding Vixen for its second season, but it won’t be the Vixen we’ve already seen. Megalyn E.K. was not available to reprise the role, so Legends will feature an earlier incarnation of the character. [Comic Book Resources]
