It’s Monday, and I need more coffee. Who’s with me? Also, I think I have a pizza hangover. I visited Chicago for C2E2 over the weekend and ate pizza for many consecutive meals plus a Chicago dog. So, basically, I don’t need to eat today. I hope your weekends were also full of delicious food and fun, but let’s dive into the week with the latest television news, shall we? Keep reading to see the title card for the new Muppets pilot, to watch a farewell video for a certain character on Grey’s Anatomy, and to get a look at upcoming episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..
Light the Lights. It’s really happening. A pilot for The Muppets is in the works for ABC, and executive producer Bob Kushell is sharing more pictures than you might expect on Instagram. You can see the familiar faces of the entire gang from Kermit to Janice and also the title card for the show! I think the style fits the new The Office-style spin on The Muppets. [Tough Pigs]
Damn Fine. Cherry pie is good for eating, but it’s also a fine medium for creation. I can’t think of any substance more perfect for Twin Peaks portraits, and neither can Noah Scalin. He’s used cherry pie filling to paint pictures of Dale Cooper and more. See them here at Nerdist.
Garters and Betty White. In case you didn’t know, the Daytime Emmy Awards aired yesterday. They don’t seem to get as much attention as the Primetime version, eh? Tyra Banks hosted the ceremony and shows such as Days of Our Lives, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and others took home awards. Also, there was a tribute to Betty White and Matt Lauer wore garters. Another Guest at the Hotel. Stars keep checking into American Horror Story: Hotel. The latest addition? Evan Peters (Kick-Ass). Series creator Ryan Murphy tweeted the news and said Peters “will be waiting for you in Room 64.” Hmm. [TVLine]
Going Home. There’s nothing quite like returning to the place of your birth, is there? Jamie took Claire to Lallybroch in the latest episode of Outlander (also titled “Lallybroch”), and it wasn’t quite the warm and fuzzy return you might have expected. Read Alicia’s recap.
Final Four with Inhumans. Season 2 is almost over for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. They’re still dealing with Hydra, there’s a war within S.H.I.E.L.D., and then there’s the Inhumans. Marvel and ABC have released clips, images, and synopses for the final four episodes of the season, and they have a little bit of all the above and then some. The team will have to work with Agent Ward again, Marie Hill will make an appearance, and “shocking sacrifices” are on the way. Read the full synopses and see more photos at CBR.
Early Access. Ready to dive into mystery sooner rather than later? Then watch the Wayward Pines pilot on Hulu until April 30. The thriller doesn’t premiere on Fox until May 14 so you’ll be in the know about the Matt Dillon and Carla Gugino series two weeks in advance. [Give Me My Remote]
Jenner’s Docuseries. Bruce Jenner is bringing her story to audiences in a different way beginning this summer. She’ll star in a docuseries for E! that will chronicle her life as a transgender woman. The yet-to-be-titled docuseries will run for eight one-hour episodes and debut on July 26. [The Hollywood Reporter]
Castor Craziness. You know what I love about Orphan Black? It never slows down. It’s constantly introducing new mysteries, shockers, and developments. One question might get answered, but five more are introduced. It’s exciting, you guys. Saturday’s episode had it all; Alicia breaks it down in her recap of “Sacrifices of Crisis.”
Grey’s Anatomy spoilers are ahead. If you don’t want to know what happened in a recent episode, stop reading now.

So Long. Dr. “McDreamy” Derek Shepherd took a bow on the recent Grey’s Anatomy. Patrick Dempsey’s character died in a car accident, and given that the show’s been on since 2005, it hit the fandom pretty hard. The official Grey’s Anatomy Twitter feed shared a farewell video that’s probably going to make you reach for tissues. [Deadline]
