TV-Cap: THE X-FILES Revival Photos, an ARROW and Constantine Crossover Pic, and More

It’s time to wrap up the week, and we’re going out on a high note in the television news department. Today’s TV-Cap has a round of photos from the premiere of The X-Files, a trailer for Aziz Ansari’s Master of None, a pic from the Arrow episode featuring Constantine, and more.

Abducted from Set. Fox is keeping the The X-Files promotion machine moving with a batch of photos from the premiere of the revival. The episode, “My Struggle,” brings Mulder and Scully back together for an investigation alongside Joel McHale’s character. The pics feature Mulder and Scully being adorable and show McHale’s character working with them. See more pictures at JoBlo. [Images: Fox]

Binge It Now. The 100 isn’t coming back to The CW for season three until the midseason, but we don’t have to wait until then to get season two on Netflix. It will be arriving on October 31. Happy Halloween! If you haven’t watched the second season, I highly recommend doing so as quickly as possible. [Jason Rothenberg]

Talking It Out. There’s never a dull moment in The Vampire Diaries, is there? Practically every episode needs a post-mortem because talking it over is the only way through. Sydney spoke with series executive producer Julie Plec about recent events including a whole lot of Steroline. Read Sydney’s complete interview with Julie here at Nerdist.

Some Heartfelt Feelings. Raise your hand if you’re excited to see Aziz Ansari back in front of the camera again. I hope all of your hands are raised. The comedian and actor has a series coming to Netflix on November 6. Master of None stars Ansari as Dev, an actor trying to make it in NYC. And now, we have a trailer. It’s making me have Tom Haverford feelings because that character’s sensibilities seem to very much be present. [Nerdist]

Lasting Love. True love is never-ending and so is the desire to make sequels. ABC is producing a sequel to Romeo and Juliet called Still Star-Crossed. Yep. It’s not about the young lovers–which makes sense because we all know how their story ends–it’s about the fallout of their deaths. I’m guessing houses Capulet and Montague won’t be able to work things out over coffee and dessert. [Vanity Fair]

The Ultimate Team-Up. Ichabod Crane and Abbie Mills and Temperance Brennan and Seeley Booth solving mysteries together. That’s not fan fiction, that’s a crossover event coming to a television near you. The duos from Sleepy Hollow and Bones are visiting each other’s shows on October 29, and I think the above key art says it all. [Give Me My Remote, Image: Fox]

So Very Perfect. The Rocky Horror Picture Show is coming to Fox as a live television event–it’s all the rage–and they’ve found their Frank N. Furter. It’s arguably the most important role in the story, and they’ve nailed it by casting Laverne Cox of Orange is the New Black. I’m so on board. [Nerdist]

Laughing at Work. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are stepping in the direction of television. They’ve sold a half hour comedy to Fox. Citizen Floyd is a single-camera sitcom that takes place in the office and would have politics, action, etc. I’m not sure what kind of action would happen in a workplace–maybe the mad dash to get the mail? A Magical Touch. Matt Ryan’s John Constantine is coming to Arrow on November 4 in “Haunted.” Given how mysticism has been worked into the series with Ra’s al Ghul and Damien Darhk, Constantine rolling in seems like a natural next step. We’ve seen a glimpse of Constantine in a trailer, and TV Guide Magazine has an image from the episode. The synopsis says the Hellblazer is an old friend of Oliver’s. [ComicsAlliance, Image: The CW]

Probably an Ally? The stars are aligning for season two of Marvel’s Agent Carter. They’ve added a recurring character played by Kurtwood Smith. He’ll be playing Vernon Masters, who according to The Hollywood Reporter is “a veteran of the War Department with a keen understanding of how to work the system.” That seems to put him in a place to help Peggy out–if she needs it.
