TV-Cap: The Dazzling LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Trailer Is Here

We have an abundance of riches to celebrate in today’s TV-Cap. Thanksgiving is still a couple of days away, but this round-up of news provides a few entertainment-related things to be thankful for. Keep reading to see the epic (it applies) trailer for Legends of Tomorrow, a fresh promo for Agent Carter, mysterious teaser art for season 6 of Game of Thrones, and more.

From the Future. Pardon me for being distracted; I’m too blinded by the awesomeness of the full trailer for The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow. It sets up the premise and introduces Rip Hunter, his team, and his spaceship (I’ve seen the spaceship in person–it’s massive, beautiful, and unexpectedly cozy). I was excited about the series before, but now I’m sold. The time travel superhero show (for real) will premiere on January 21, 1016. [Nerdist]

More Brains. If you’re craving more of iZombie, you’re in luck. The CW has ordered six more episodes for Season 2, bringing the grand total up to 19 from 13. [Comic Book Resources]

More North Dakota. Speaking of shows getting more episodes… FX has ordered an additional season of Fargo. Noah Hawley will return as executive producer and showrunner. The first and second seasons of the black comedy took place in different time periods, so it’s hard to say where Season 3 will go. I’m hoping for the late ’80s just for the fashion possibilities. [Nerdist]

Very Funny, HBO. Game of Thrones will return with Season 6 in April, and HBO has released some teaser art that might be a topic of discussion at your Thanksgiving gatherings this week. The poster features a bloodied Jon Snow. So, does this mean he’s permanently dead? Who knows? I don’t think they’re making any sort of official statement with this art so much as screwing with fans. I salute them for using the whole is he/isn’t the argument in their favor. [Nerdist, Image: HBO]

Up Through the Ranks. Matt Bomer is trading in the weird for the corporate ladder. Bomer just appeared on American Horror Story: Hotel and his next role will have him starring in the Amazon pilot Tycoon. The story is based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s unfinished book The Last Tycoon and will follow Bomer’s character Monroe Stahr as his career as a movie mogul develops in the 1930s. [TVLine]

Straight Up Horror. I did it — I finished my binge of Jessica Jones. Marvel’s latest series was intense to say the least, and the last few episodes stepped right into horror territory. Read my review of the last four episodes.

The Story Continues. I can’t say that wondering what happens next to the characters of Hey Arnold! was keeping me awake at night, but now that I know we’re getting answers, I’m curious. Craig Bartlett, creator of the animated series, is writing a Hey Arnold! television movie that will pick up where the original series ended and tie up loose ends. Allow Jessica Chobot to explain in the latest episode of Nerdist News (above). [Nerdist]

Sing Out. ABC’s musical medieval comedy will return on January 3. I’m still amazed and thrilled that Galavant exists. The first promo is all too brief, but it does have a fair amount of Timothy Omundson’s spectacular beard. I’ll take it.[Entertainment Weekly]

Changes Afoot. The CW is shaking up their schedule when shows return from their midseason breaks in January. They’re shuffling The Vampire Diaries and The Originals to Friday night and giving Legends of Tomorrow and The 100 Thursday night (PS: The 100 will be back with season 3 on January 21!). [TV Fanatic]

Mad Scientist Genes. Mystery Science Theater 3000 is coming back thanks to the support of fans on Kickstarter, and Joel Hodgson has announced a new member of the cast. Felicia Day will join the series as Kinga Forrester. She’s the daughter of mad scientist Dr. Clayton Forrester and the granddaughter of Pearl Forrester. Basically, badness is in her blood. [Nerdist]

Appropriately Creepy. Zoom has been looming over Season 2 of The Flash. The masked villain with claw-like digits is spooky, and he needs a lair to match his personality. Artist John Gallagher, who works on the series, shared his concept art for Zoom’s lair. It looks like the baddie is set up in a dark and dirty abandoned train station. Perfect. I can’t wait to see more of the set on the show. [Nerdist, Image: The CW/John Gallagher]

The Originals. Peggy Carter and Jarvis are moving to Hollywood for Season 2 of Agent Carter. The series starring Hayley Atwell and James D’Arcy will return on January 5, and a new promo shows they’re settling into their latest adventure nicely. And how about Atwell’s American accent? [Nerdist]
