TV-Cap: LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Introduces Jonah Hex and Talia al Ghul

The wonderful WonderCon blew into Los Angeles over the weekend and dropped a whole bunch of news into our lap. On top of that, tonight is the Supergirl and The Flash crossover (bonus Supergirl x Flash GIF at the bottom of this post), so Monday is rather awesome. Dive into today’s TV-Cap to see a Legends of Tomorrow sizzle reel showing off Jonah Hex, the first look at Preacher’s Arseface, Game of Thrones season six photos, and more.

High Noon. The Legends of Tomorrow cast and executive producer Marc Guggenheim appeared on a panel at WonderCon yesterday, and they brought with them a fancy look ahead at the rest of season one. The crew jumps into the Old West and meets Jonah Hex, and they also go to the past and encounter Ra’s and Talia al Ghul—but that’s not at all. These are exciting times! Read what the cast had to say on the panel right this way.

Not Enough. Togetherness, the family show created by Jay and Mark Duplass and Steve Zissis, has been canceled by HBO. The series aired for two seasons but was unfortunately not pulling in high enough ratings±not compared to HBO’s other offerings, anyway. Mark Duplass shared the above statement on Twitter. Clone Club Chats. If any series deserves an aftershow, it’s Orphan Black. Tons happens in each episode of the BBC America sci-fi drama, and it’s begging to be analyzed. The network has happily realized that, and they’re launching After the Black with season four. It will be a 30-minute conversation about the latest happenings with Sarah, Alison, and everyone else hosted by Ajay Fry, Morgan Hoffman, and Teddy Wilson. [Nerdist]

Why Not? Nickelodeon knows we all remember the heyday of its ’90s programming fondly. So they’re bringing back some of those shows to a programming block called The Splat, and in some cases, they’re going to share new footage with cast members from not so way back when. For example, they’ve announced an All That reunion. Well, bits of a reunion that will air in between an All That marathon on April 16-April 17. [Nerdist]

Renewal Update! CBS is lining up renewals for next year. They’ve granted more episodes to 11 different shows, including Elementary and Hawaii Five-0. Get the full scoop on what’s returning at TV Fanatic.

The Team Assembles. Netflix is bringing Voltron back with DreamWorks Animation. They’re working on Voltron: Legendary Defender, and they released casting news and some plot details just ahead of WonderCon. The roster includes the likes of Jeremy Shada, Bex Taylor-Klaus, and more. And the plot? It’s pretty close to the original animated series. Get all the details on the cast and story right here at Nerdist.

What You’d Expect. If you’re not familiar with Preacher, you should know there’s a character called Arseface. Yep. Also known as Eugene, Arseface ends up with some serious scars when a suicide attempt goes very wrong. AMC released a pic at WonderCon showing their depiction of Arseface, and I’d say they more or less nailed it. What do you think? [Nerdist, Image: AMC]

A First Meeting. Oswald has maybe turned things around on Gotham. Maybe. He’s been declared sane and is back in the world… but then, he meets his father. This clip from Monday’s episode, “Prisoners,” shows it might not be quite the rosy-hued relationship for which Oswald had hoped. [Nerdist]

Are You Afraid? Game of Thrones will return on April 24, and a new commercial includes a few snippets of new footage. White Walkers, dragons, a battle. Oh my. Want more of season six of Game of Thrones? Look at these snazzy new photos—they include Max von Sydow as the Three-Eyed Raven! [Nerdist]

Penultimate and Serious. The Walking Dead is approaching the end of its sixth season—I know, it flew by. Read Joseph’s recap of “East” and catch up before the finale.

And the promised Supergirl/Flash GIF:

Come on. Who doesn’t need this sort of utter joy in life?
