TV-Cap: GAME OF THRONES Character Posters Are All About Death

HBO is being quite cryptic as we head into season six of Game of Thrones. The premiere is still a couple of months off, so we might actually get more concrete teases in the coming weeks, but it’s fun to play the speculation game. Today’s TV-Cap has Game of Thrones character posters for you to discuss, an exclusive clip from The 100, a teaser for season two of Daredevil that’s all about Elektra, a Hugo Strange featurette for Gotham, and more.

Feeling Blue. A former Supergirl is headed to next Monday’s Supergirl. Laura Vandervoort, who played the hero on Smallville, will arrive in National City as the villain Indigo. She definitely resembles the character in the comics, but she also reminds me of Mystique from X-Men—like, a lot. You can check out more photos of Indigo at Comic Book Resources. [Image: CBS]

Detective Dad. Remember how CBS is working on a series based on the Nancy Drew books but with an older Nancy working for the NYPD? It’s called Drew. The leading lady hasn’t been cast, but they’ve found her dad. Anthony Edwards will play Carson. [Deadline]

Partnership. As ever, things in The 100 are intense. Pike has royally screwed over Arkadia. His group is making terrible decisions. In this exclusive first look at Thursday night’s episode, “Bitter Harvest,” you can get a look at Octavia and Kane working together to stop him. [Nerdist]

Different Sort of Town. Beverly Hills is hard to top, but Luke Perry’s new home might be better. Perry’s been cast as Archie’s dad in The CW’s Riverdale. He’ll play Fred Andrews, a construction business owner who wants his son to follow his footsteps in the family business. [TVLine]

All the Guns. Agent Carter is playing all its cards in the season finale. The teaser points out that everyone is joining the battle against Whitney Frost. This is fantastic news because it will probably take all of them to stand against her. [Comic Book Resources]

Death with a Side of Death. What’s the best way to promote a new season of a series in which anyone could and does die? Pretend every major character is already dead. That’s the tactic in character posters for season six of Game of Thrones, and I have to say, it’s rather brilliant. Faces already dead and still alive appear in the columns of the Hall of Faces in the House of Black and White. Get a closer look at the posters here at Nerdist.

He’s the Cure. Hugo Strange will appear soon in Gotham, played by B.D. Wong no less, and a featurette introduces the character. He’s a doctor, and he’s creepy and maybe deranged. That’s what I took away from the video. [Blastr]

First Impression. The latest character art/long gif for Daredevil introduces the fierce Elektra Natchios. She arrives in Hell’s Kitchen in season two of the Marvel Netflix series, and I have a hunch she isn’t there to hug her ex, Matt Murdock. [Nerdist]

About Last Night. Wednesday night television was pretty neat, guys! If you want to get the highlights reel of what you missed and get our thoughts, please read our recaps for Star Wars Rebels (one of the best eps of the series), Arrow (Vixen showed up), and Supernatural (wrestling mania).
