TV-Cap: AMERICAN HORROR STORY Peek Show, THE FLASH’s Pied Piper, and a BUFFY Alum Heads to SONS

It’s time to celebrate my favorite TV-lovers! Because it’s Friday and we’ve got a bountiful bevy of news right here waiting, just for you. After all, the weekend is upon us and that means one thing: social interaction. And what better way to prepare yourself for idle conversation with rogue strangers and acquaintances alike than with a bit of TV knowledge to spice things up? A lil water cooler conversatin’ never hurt nobody, right? Enter: today’s TV-Cap.

So let’s just get right to it — it’ll be over in a flash (see what we did there?!) and before you know it you’ll be a master of small screen news. So let’s get right to it, shall we?

Cloudy with a Chance of TV: Sony is not satisfied to simply be happy about the success of the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs films, so they’ve decided to turn it into a children’s program. Because of course they are! [/Film]

The Freak Show Cometh: Still salivating for any tid or bit you can gather from American Horror Story: Freak Show? Well how’s about trying this season-long trailer on for size, eh? It gives us beaucoup clues about the still-major characters we have yet to meet! And yes, Angela Bassett’s three boobs are involved. The horror, the horror! (Because UGH CLOWNS NO STAHP IT STAHP!)

Speaking of AHS: Here’s Clarke’s recap of the first episode! [Nerdist]

Adding Charisma to the Anarchy: Cordelia Chase is going to be hanging out with bikers soon, folks. The Buffy and Angel alum has snagged a guest star role on Sons of Anarchy. She’ll play Carol, a conservative administrative director at a medical facility. [Entertainment Weekly]

Come Out and Play, Pied Piper: Does anyone else feel it’s weirdly on-the-nose that the first openly gay character being shuffled out onto TV/The Flash is the Pied Piper? Or am I just a 12-year-old that watches way too much Silicon Valley? (Is there such a thing?) Anyway, Smash alum (one of my favorite phrases to write because hate-watching that show was one of the brighter moments of my TV-life) Andy Mientus is set to fill the role of the hearing-impaired baddie. [TVLine]

And just because here’s a video of Andy singing Jeff Buckley before — spoiler alert — dying:

More Flash Casting: Victor Garber! Give us all the Victor Garber please! [Nerdist]

Scott Foley and Shonda Get Married: OK not literally but sorta. Queen Shonda, the hand that guides the ABC ship, has teamed up with Noel Crane (Felicity forever, you guys) to bring a marriage comedy to the network called To Max & Paige but unfortunately (or maybe fortunately if you’re a Scandal fan?) Foley will only write it, not act in it. C’est la vie. [The Hollywood Reporter]

CBS Renews Two: We’re staying Under the Dome, America. It’s settled. Remember way back before season one premiered, and they said the whole thing was going to be a one-off limited series? I sorta miss those days: the promise they held in terms of honoring storytelling, and doing something for the story alone, not because of ratings or desperation to cling onto anything that lands, in turn twisting it into something else entirely and losing the goodness of its original iteration. But hey, what do I know, right? Oh yeah that alien Halle Berry show, Extant, also got the pick-up. So yay I guess? [TVLine]

Last But Not Least: Tom Mison of Sleepy Hollow wants to be on Game of Thrones. Get in line, buddy. [Nerdist]

So — what other characters would you like to see added to The Flash universe? Leave your ideas in the comments!
