TV-Cap: AGENTS OF SHIELD VFX, TEEN TITANS POWERPUFF GIRLS Team-Up, and More

If you’re enjoying the last day of a three day weekend, I hope your day feels like the longest day of the week. If you’re not off, well, I hope the opposite happens. Either way, I have some television news for you to digest. Today’s TV-Cap has a VFX reel for season three of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., some details on a crossover between Teen Titans GO! and The Powerpuff Girls, a look ahead to the next season of iZombie, and more.

Added Touches. Like so many series on TV, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has visual effects (VFX)–since it’s a series about the extraordinary, it has more than most. CoSA VFX worked on the third season and showed off some before and after breakdowns in a snazzy reel, embedded above. [ComicsAlliance]

Extra Comments. If you have an itch to watch the Preacher pilot again, why not do so with some thoughts from series executive producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg? They recorded audio commentary to go along with the initial episode, and you can put in your ears over at AMC’s website. [Slashfilm]

Rock Out. I don’t know this for sure, but I think the animated stars of Rick and Morty would very much appreciate Eric Calderone arranging and performing a metal version of their theme song. See if you agree with that sentiment by watching the above video. [Nerdist]

Rational Reaction. The subreddit for Arrow has now become a subreddit for Daredevil. You see, Redditors were so ticked by the Arrow season four finale that they decided to switch up their alignment. If you’re dying for all sorts of thoughts about how Arrow ended and/or Marvel’s Daredevil, this is the place for you. [Comic Book Resources]

Crossover Plans. It’s all the rage for superheroes to crossover to other series, and it’s gonna happen this June with Cartoon Network’s Teen Titans GO! and The Powerpuff Girls. We will all be injured by the cuteness. Mojo Jojo will cause trouble in Titans’ turf and the Powerpuff gals with join forces with the Titans to take Mojo Jojo down. [Nerdist, Image: Cartoon Network]

Edible Masterpieces. Still chewing on the happenings of Sunday’s Game of Thrones? While you’re theorizing, feast your eyes on some incredible pancake art by Daniel Drake, a.k.a. Dancakes. He’s a sorcerer; does he work with Melisandre? [Nerdist]

Some Teasing. TVLine caught up with Rose McIver at Upfronts in New York and looked back and ahead with iZombie. McIver discusses how Liv’s boyfriends have bad luck, Liv’s relationship with Major, and drops a hint about season three’s villain. [TVLine]

Build This, Please. LEGO Ideas has made some rather fantastic LEGO sets possible, set such as the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 and the Back to the Future DeLorean. And maybe it will bring a Mystery Science Theater 3000 set to shelves. Builder Jmaster has dreamed up the plans for a set with minifigs depicting the hosts and all the robots. You can give the project your support at LEGO Ideas. [Nerdist]

Family Matters. Need to escape from the moment and rehash the events of the latest episodes of two wonderful series? We have you covered. Read our recaps of Outlander (return to Scotland!) and Game of Thrones (meet the Tarlys!).

Are you looking forward to the Teen Titans Powerpuff Girls crossover? Do you have theories about season three of iZombie? Talk to me in the comments.
