Trent Reznor Announces New NINE INCH NAILS for 2016

If you were able to gather the courage to venture on to Twitter Friday despite the risk of having a certain movie being spoiled, you might have caught this gem from Nine Inch Nails lead singer Trent Reznor:

Fans of the alt-rock group get ready, because it looks like NIN will be back in 2016 in some way, shape, or form. Reznor’s tweet is in addition to the announcement of a limited edition book collaboration with artist Russell Mills. Called Cargo in the Blood, the book will feature artwork from the band’s album Hesitation Marks.

Founded in 1988, Nine Inch Nails have released eight studio albums, the last one being in 2013. Their biggest album to date was 1994’s The Downward Spiral, which put them on the map with the MTV generation. The band has been nominated for a Grammy Award 13 times, winning on two occasions. Reznor himself has become a successful composer, writing the scores for the David Fincher movies The Social Network, The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo, and Gone Girl. His work on The Social Network even earned him an Academy Award.

If this new album is anywhere near the consistency Reznor has shown over the last few years, I am definitely on board.

So what do you think? Is the world ready for more Nine Inch Nails? Are they the “Perfect Drug” for your music needs? Let me know on Twitter or sound off in the comments below.
