Tiya Sircar Discusses STAR WARS REBELS, THE GOOD PLACE, and Progress

Alex, Inc., The Good Place, Star Wars Rebels—Tiya Sircar has lead roles in all these series. Whether she’s playing a whipsmart lawyer, literal demon, or an explosive Mandalorian, Sircar puts her stamp on a role. She stopped by the studio to discuss her career on Fangirling, touching on what it’s like to be starring in two (!) major network comedies and what it was like to say goodbye to Sabine Wren with the end of Rebels… if it really is the end for the fan favorite character!

Sircar also discusses the progress that’s been made in recent years with representation and visibility in onscreen roles. We still have a long way to go, but some things have changed. She’s starting to find parts are specifically created for different types of people to be more of a reflection of the diverse world we live in.
