Disney Princesses serve as the muse for many artists, though not in your traditional inspiring way; usually in an insane, why-is-this-happening sort of way. Weâve seen the princesses as velociraptors, root vegetables, and my personal fave, Disney Princesses as lukewarm bowls of water.
Chef David Changâs food magazine Lucky Peach takes us to where no Disney Princess art has gone before: Sausage-Ville. No really, these are your favorite Disney Princesses as hot dogs. I agree with the creatorâs lament over Disney never creating a princess who was a hot dog. I mean, even Adventure Time has Hot Dog Princess; why not one for the Disney universe?
Now thatâs a reality as Rapunzel, Ariel, Belle, and Pocahontas all get the wiener treatment as their fairy godmothers have transformed them into the glorious processed meat products they were always meant to be. Thereâs even a recipe! Sort of. Itâs more of a DIY assembly process.
“For Ariel: Slice two small circles from the outer rings of a red onion. Secure them to her hot-dog bosom with mustard.”
In addition to Arielâs veggie cleavage, there are dresses made of American cheese and quick swipes of ketchup lips. These princesses donât need rescuing as theyâre all safely nestled into their own bun beds. If one of these frankfurter monarchâs happens to find their prince, they can always have a hot dog wedding cake to seal the deal.
