This X-MEN Juggernaut Cosplay Is Unstoppable

Alas, poor Juggernaut. Despite being one of the X-Men’s primary villains for the better part of fifty years — and created by the legendary Stan Lee and Jack Kirby no less — he hasn’t had much love recently. Despite being Charles Xavier’s stepbrother, Cain Marko has had little exposure in either the comics or the movies these past few years. Sure, he was portrayed once by Vinnie Jones in everyone’s least favorite mutant movie, X-Men: The Last Stand, where he was less the comic book character, and more a giant in-joke based on an ancient internet meme.

Having said that, old Juggy still has some love from certain fans out there. Thanks to the folks at Cinemablend, we’ve learned about Marvel fan Bryan Doell, who has gone on Facebook and uploaded a ton of images of a truly incredible Juggernaut costume that he’s created. According to his Facebook page, Doell works as a Prop and Costume Artist at BMP PROPS, and he said that he’s been talking for two years about creating the life-size costume for good ol’ Juggernaut. Describing his creation, he said that it was “100% scratch built, hand carved, freehanded, gigantic awesomeness.” You’ll get no argument from us, sir. This is some next level cosplay.

Doell’s story only gets better — costume in tow, he traveled to the 2016 MegaCon in Orlando, where not only did he win Costume Contest Award for Best Comic Book Costume, he got to pose in the outfit for a photo-op with Stan Lee, Juggy’s co-creator. It doesn’t get better than that. You can see some more pics of Doell’s Juggernaut costume in our gallery below, and for all the pics, be sure to head on over to his Facebook page.
