This Week at NerdMelt Theater!

In November of 1978 Earth, Wind and Fire released “September”, giving the world a Disco classic.  This week, to kick off September, we’re releasing an excellent slate of shows for your enjoyment!

Friday at 8:00 is the NerdTerns Premiere Party!

The folks behind NerdTerns — The Nerdist Channel’s new scripted comedic web series that gives fans of The Nerdist Theatre at Meltdown Comics a surrealistic behind-the-scenes glimpse of the interns who work there and their somewhat beleaguered boss — are throwing a party to celebrate the premiere of their show and have invited all of you to come on down and join in! There will be laughs! There will be tears! And it’s all FREE!

And just so you all know, “NerdTerns” was created by & stars Kyle Clark, Aaron Davidson, Mo Fathelbab, & Jenny Fine. It also stars Benjamin Dunn and features appearances by everyone’s favorite Nerdist Theatre interns as well as Internet-famous stars. It is produced by The Nerdist Channel in association with Meltdown 2.0 Productions. And now with stand up performances by: Ricky Carmona, Paul Cibis, Kyle Clark, & Celeste Reno!!

Free!

Saturday at 8:00 is Cosplay Karaoke!

Come down to The Nerdist Theatre at Meltdown Comics and enjoy the fun in your normal everyday clothes, or come and dress up for your chance to sing like a superhero! And all for FREE!

Tuesday at 8:00 is Harmontown!

Yup, that’s right, it’s weekly! Attend a town meeting in a land free of brevity, where Mayor Dan Harmon (creator of Community) and Comptroller Jeff B. Davis (Whose Line is it Anyway) take another small, vodka-soaked step toward colonizing the moon. Evening may include ineffectual rants, songs, shameful stories, special guests (Allison Brie, Donald Glover, and Gillian Jacobs have all stopped in), forehead sweat and repeated exposure to the phrases “like” , “uh”, “sort of” and “you know.”

$10!

Wednesday at 8:30 is The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail!

This week, The Meltdown with Jonah Ray and Kumail Nanjiani welcomes the likes of
Guy Branum, Matt Manser, Shane Mauss, Josh Cheney, Greg Behrendt, Alex Hooper, Howard Kremer, & John Mulaney!

Thursday at 8:00 is Horrible Movie Night!

Do you love to make fun of bad movies, but are shunned by friends & family because of it? Then come home to Horrible Movie Night! We invite YOU to riff the worst movies you’ve never seen, and you could win a prize!

Your hosts John Mathot (Disney’s Phineas & Ferb), and Susan Wright (The Because Show podcast) along will present 1988′s Nightmare Beach, a Spring Break-themed slasher flick, along with the help of the hilarious improv team Capital T! Because nothing says September like Spring Break, right? If you like MST3K and RiffTrax, this is your thang!

$8 in advance, $10 at the door!
