This GAME OF THRONES Parody of TOO MANY COOKS is the Only Acceptable One

You know, we’re really proud of the Internet when it comes to Too Many Cooks. It could’ve very easily pummeled that bit of odd ephemera into the ground with parodies, remakes, and mash-ups, but it actually showed restraint, letting the perfect thing be perfect for awhile. And good on you, Internet! We’re so proud — it’s like you’re growing up right before our very eyes. Besides, the only truly good parody/mash-up that would’ve ever worked in the Too Many Cooksiverse would have to involve something incredibly complicated with a billion characters. Like, say, Game of Thrones.

Because — hoo boy — does the phrase “too many cooks!” ring truer than in the wild world of Westeros and the Known Realm? With the (approximately) 857 billion people vying for the Iron Throne, and their 2.45 trillion allies, enemies, frenemies, and magical animals, it’s a no-brainer to pair the delightful insanity of Too Many Cooks with a political system that quite literally has too many cooks involved. From him and her and the baby (at 7:19), too — SOB …there are simply too many cooks in Westeros, y’all!

So, to summarize: perfect thing is perfect and also ridiculous in just the right way. If you’ve ever wondered just how murderous Westeros has been (and likely will be), this is a great reminder. (The answer being: very. Very, very murder-y. Everyone you love will probably die and we don’t mean in that “life is one big wait for death” sorta way.)

Can you think of any other worthy Too Many Cooks parodies? Let’s hear ’em in the comments.
