Snowball the Cockatoo is a bit of a YouTube celebrity, but I’m not sure I would blame you if you’re not immediately familiar with his fame. As his name would suggest, Snowball is a white cockatoo who lives in…well I don’t know where he lives, but he has a Facebook page and his own YouTube channel so he’s pretty legit. Look at how incredibly he can keep time with Queen‘s classic “Another One Bites the Dust” in this video.
If you take a wander over to the bird’s YouTube channel, you will see that Snowball has quite the repertoire of dance videos. Everything from a tribute montage in honor of Michael Jackson to his appearance on a Taco Bell commercial. It doesn’t look like the pages have been updated in a few years – the last videos are from four years ago and are mostly interviews with Snowball’s owner on local news – but they are still a fun thing to revisit on the internet whenever you need a little pick-me-up to get you through to the weekend.

YouTube is such a great place to find the most fun videos of animals doing great things, and I’m pretty stoked that I stumbled upon Snowball going into a long weekend away from work. Going into a long weekend means I need some seriously entertaining animals to get me through. I might have to watch some Maru now to tide me over. I wonder if he box-flops to the tune of anything as fabulous as Queen though? Probably not, unfortunately. More animals should appreciate music.
