This AVENGERS Tattoo Sleeve is Signed by Stan Lee

It’s never too late to get a tattoo. Jason didn’t get his first ink until after he turned 30, and now he’s the proud owner of an Avengers-themed sleeve. The tribute to the Marvel group was completed by Anson Eastin of True Alchemy Tattoo Studio in Florida and features aspects like the Infinity Stones, Hulk, the arc reactor, Captain America‘s shield, and more. But the icing on the cake? A Stan Lee signature.

Jason’s ink was completed a few months before a convention where Lee was scheduled to make an appearance. Jason said, “I asked his staff at the stage where he was signing about the special request, and they had me come up on stage with him. He had a bit of trouble signing my ankle and he was so nice about it. He apologized twice that it was a bit sloppy. The only thing I could do was tell him, ‘Hey, you’re Stan Lee. You can do whatever you like!'”

The above picture shows the signature before being inked. Jason went straight to a tattooist on site at the convention to make the Sharpie signature permanent.

If you have nerdy ink on your skin or you’re a tattoo artist that applies pop culture, STEM, music, or other nerd-inspired ink (tl;dr: I want to see basically all of the tattoos) on a regular basis, then please hit me up because I’d like to highlight you in a future Inked Wednesday gallery. I’m especially interested if you have a sleeve or other large tattoo. You can get in touch with me via email at [email protected]. Send me photos of the tattoos you’d like me to feature (the higher resolution, the better) and don’t forget to let me know the name of your tattoo artist if you have it, as well the name of the shop he or she works out of. If you are the tattoo artist, give me links to your portfolios and/or Instagram accounts so I can share them with our readers.
