Things That Are Great: GAME OF THRONES’ David Bradley in Hilarious Fan Photo

Now far be it for me to accuse Game of Thrones‘ most miserly and obnoxious lord, the old-as-dirt Walder Frey, of being good at anything. Except for ruining people’s lives and co-planning terrible weddings, natch. But — as evidenced by this photo from Twitter user Gareth Shaw — he might just be good at being the best. Which is to say he has a very good and gracious sense of humor. In fact we’d call it downright terrific. Welcome to today’s dose of geektastic joy: David Bradley taking a picture while looking at the book Planning Weddings for Dummies.

Oh there is so much to say. So much to enjoy. So much to laugh and smile about. It all started when Showmasters — organizers of the London Film and Comic-Con event happening in mid-July — sent a tweet out to fans of the Con asking for memories from their previous experiences there. Enter the aforementioned Shaw with his photo with the accompanying “it has to be Mr. David Bradley.” Because he’s right: it had to be. It had to be this photo in this moment with that beautiful expression on the man formally known as Filch’s face.

But don’t just take our word for it.

That face, that book, that clever little fan. Everything about this is good and just and right and wonderful. You’re welcome, Internet. And thank you, Gareth.

What would you hold in a photo with Walder Frey (or any other member of the massive Game of Thrones family)? Let us know in the comments.
