THE X-FILES Miniseries Will Premiere at MIPCOM and New York Comic Con 2015

The truth is out there…and it’ll be here sooner than expected! Fox has announced that the first episode of The X-Files revival miniseries will make its world premiere at at MIPCOM in Cannes, France on Tuesday, October 6. But if you don’t have your passport handy, the U.S. premiere will follow on Saturday, October 10 at New York Comic Con!

The MIPCOM screening of The X-Files appears to be aimed towards international buyers, and series creator Chris Carter will be on hand to introduce the first episode, titled “My Struggle.” For the U.S. premiere at New York Comic Con, Carter will be joined by original series star David Duchovny for a panel discussion and Q&A that will follow the screening.

In the six-episode revival of The X-Files, Duchovny and Gillian Anderson once again step into their roles as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, respectively. They will be joined by several returning X-Files performers, including Mitch Pileggi, Bruce Harwood, Tom Braidwood, Dean Haglund, Annabeth Gish, and William B. Davis.

While The X-Files will revisit the mythology of the original series, there will also be stand-alone episodes with new monsters. There are also several high profile guest stars in the miniseries, including Joel McHale, Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose, Annet Mahendru, Rhys Darby, and Kumail Nanjiani.

The X-Files will make its nationwide return on Fox on Sunday, January 24 after the NFC Championship game.
