Make Carol’s Alexandria Thanksgiving from THE WALKING DEAD

Editor’s Note: this post contains a few spoilers from this season of The Walking Dead. If you’re not caught up on this season we’d suggest looking elsewhere. You’ve been warned!

This week’s upcoming The Walking Dead mid-season finale looks to be a big one with a bunch of uninvited guests arriving for Thanksgiving thanks to a falling watchtower. To celebrate the return of Glenn (yay!) and the last episode until 2016 (boo!), why not cook up a Carol-themed feast fit for a big holiday finale viewing party, eh?

On The Walking Dead, Carol is the happiest, deadliest homemaker you’ll ever meet and one thing’s for sure: all the Alexandria neighbors are in awe of her cooking skills. We’ve seen Carol bring welcome casseroles to gatherings, threaten children over cookies, and most recently the Alexandrians raved about her Cola Canned Ham while shopping in the supply pantry. As Carol perused the supplies, she grabbed cans of celery soup and pondered the use of paprika to make it more palatable.

Carol’s Cola Ham is made in a crock pot because it’s easier to set it and forget it in case of an invasion. Alongside the sweet and savory pork centerpiece is a side dish honoring those pesky canned goods, Carol’s Potato Casserole, layers of carb-y goodness made with celery soup and cheese, topped with a dash of paprika.

Finally for dessert, Carol’s Pumpkin Pie Cookie Bars. All the tempting sweetness of a pumpkin pie with Carol’s famous chocolate cookies serving as the crust.

This imagined Alexandria Thanksgiving meal is so deathly delicious it will make you want to crawl out from under a dumpster and run back home!
