In a more serious response that no one will ever read, in my opinion the show is at its best when Todd is doing whatever he wants. If I had my way, Todd would never take any suggestions from the fans, including this suggestion to never take any suggestions.
Personally, I think the show is a lot funnier when Todd and Co. get far too high and things get out of control. Does that mean I’m building a giant vaporizer that will pump invisible smoke in to the booth when they’re recording without their knowledge? Maybe. But that’s neither here nor there. My point, if I had one, was that I don’t think suggesting that Todd get more high more often would result in better shows, more likely the opposite.
That’s the great thing about this podcast. You can just sit back and relax, knowing Todd’s experienced, almost fatherly, comedic hand is gently guiding everything. And as long as that’s the case, to quote the master, “everything is going to be okay.”
Jesus, where am I? What’s happening?
Bad news…
I don’t mind lack of structure but I feel like Todd is stopping or breaking out of bits more and more. A lot of my favorite moments of the show are when the bit keeps going and going and heads into crazy places. My 2 cents, still love the show. I hope this isn’t a face-fuckable offense.
What Anthony said.
This is the best show in the world. The fictional listener with their hypothetical need for structure can go fuck themselves in the face. They shouldn’t have been listening in the first place.
