The Most Intentionally Funny Video of The Day 2/10/14: Kumail Nanjiani Wants So Badly To Be Cool

Famed documentary filmmaker Ken Burns is releasing an app exclusively for the iPad. I’m curious to see who actually gets the app and see if whether they know they can just play era specific music while scanning through photos of a historical event instead of getting a whole separate app for that. You know that Burns popularized the documentary technique of scanning over old pictures between sound bytes and clips of period music, right? This isn’t too niche of a joke, is it, for mainly people who went to film school/took a jazz history class and watched a bunch of Burns documentaries/Ken Burns’ Jazz? Whether it’s a joke for just me or not, you can all surely enjoy a joke requiring no specific knowledge in filmic trends in documentaries in The Most Intentionally Funny Video of The Day.

Today’s MIFV is Nerdist favorite Kumail Nanjiani telling the story of wanting to be cool, going to great lengths to do so, and then getting betrayed, for CC:Studios‘ fantastic storytelling web series This Is Not Happening with Ari Shaffir.

Here’s the previous MIFV pick, in case you missed it.

Per usual, I’m taking submissions for the MIFV like so many featured in the past. I love finding new, hilarious videos from people hundreds and thousands of miles away, so please do send your videos so long as they follow the rules below.
-E-mail embeddable video link to [email protected] with subject line “MIFV Submission”
-Videos must have been posted online (i.e. have a time stamp that says so) within exactly two weeks from when you submit (i.e. videos uploaded more than 14 days from the day when you submit will not be up for consideration)
-Don’t add any cover letters or explanations; please just send the link

Wow Kumail is a lot funnier than I thought ! 🙂 Will definitely recommend to other friends who ask about comedians.

Also, he reminds somewhat of Rolf from Ed, Edd, and Eddy.
