THE LAST JEDI Cast Share Secrets on JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!

In less than two weeks, Star Wars: The Last Jedi will arrive in theaters and offer new revelations and surprises to fans. But the cast and director of The Last Jedi just couldn’t wait that long to start getting the word out. On Friday, Rian Johnson and his cast made an extended appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to discuss The Last Jedi and offer some unexpected comedy before sharing their intel–and Johnson does give up on teeny tiny piece of information (that we’ll greedily take).

First, Jimmy Kimmel and his sidekick, Guillermo Rodriguez starred in a comedy skit in which they pitched Johnson with their ideas for the new Star Wars trilogy, including “Chewbacca in a bikini” and the return of an old Star Wars favorite.

Kimmel didn’t waste the chance to introduce a new edition of “Unnecessary Censorship,” which made clips from all of the previous Star Wars movies feel a little dirtier.

Mark Hamill and Guillermo also starred in a brief skit in which Hamill proved to be a little rusty with his Force powers.

Finally, Kimmel paid tribute the droids who couldn’t be there…because they died.

Johnson, Hamill, Adam Driver and Daisy Ridley were the first guests to speak with Kimmel on the show. Hamill related the tale of Luke Skywalker’s beard, as he and Ridley looked back at the creation of The Force Awakens‘ cliffhanger scene.

In the next clip, Driver shared the way that kids react to Kylo Ren while Ridley danced around the question of Rey’s family. But Hamill had the juiciest story as he revealed that he initially thought that Obi-Wan Kenobi would be revealed as the villain in The Empire Strikes Back, before doing his impression of Harrison Ford in front of the audience.

After that segment, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Gwendoline Christie, Kelly Marie Tran, and Laura Dern came out to join the fun. Kimmel didn’t waste the chance to ask Christie to reveal whose armor she prefers to wear: Captain Phasma or Brienne of Tarth. And don’t miss the very end of the clip, when Johnson gets his own action figure!

Kimmel also addressed the elephant in the room…or should we say the porg in the room? Johnson noted that not everyone on the set of the film was a fan of these little creatures. Boyega seems to be among the haters, but Isaac and a few other cast members appeared to have a more favorable stance on porgs.

And finally, Kimmel grilled Johnson and urged him to reveal at least one real secret on the show. After some excessive prodding, Johnson went ahead and revealed the very first word that will be uttered in The Last Jedi. It’s “we’re.”
