The Laser Tag Grudge Match: Nerdist vs. RocketJump and Gearbox

By now, you’re probably aware that at Comic-Con, we, along with 2K and Gearbox, took over the top floor of San Diego’s Petco Park and transformed it into the rootinest tootinest team-based shootinest Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel laser tag arena this side of the Mississippi. You know what? It was the best on the other side of the Mississippi, too. You’ve seen Jessica Nigri host a special match for Borderlands cosplayers. You’ve seen CM Punk’s final form as the cyborg assassin, The Laser Tag-inator. You’ve even seen RocketJump’s portrayal of one man’s descent into madness vis-a-vis the crucible of laser tag. But, now you can witness the action of the biggest, baddest event that went down at Petco Park all weekend: the Grudge Match between Team Nerdist, and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants known as Team RocketJump and Gearbox.

Watch in awes as Chris Hardwick displays an athleticism heretofore unseen by the likes of nerds! Marvel as Freddie Wong displays a rate of fire that would surely get him accused of wall hacking! Tremble in fear as CM Punk…sits…in the audience. And keep a careful eye on that magician of mayhem, Randy Pitchford. Seriously, he’s a magician and therefore probably can’t be trusted. There are only two things that we know for certain in this life: Nerdist Laser Tag was the best damn part of Comic-Con 2014, and Team Nerdist definitely totally absolutely won. But don’t take our word for it — watch for yourselves and see the laser-based awesomeness.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel hits store shelves on October 14.
