    2 Things

    1) the lyrics in that song are sampled from a verse of another song (so they don’t actually rhyme g6 with itself over and over in the original)

    2) that intro story was amazing and and i think it would lend itself to very well to a movie.

  2. Devan says:

Great intro story! Resonated with me in deep way. Thanks for sharing.
We all gotta find our G6.

The intro was a wonderful bit of storytelling. I could really relate to several of the themes – my favorite is the feeling of horror as you realize that an annoying song has grafted onto your brain
Thank you for what you do so well!

I too, love the personal stories at the beginning of the podcast. Funny and moving they are a wonderful balance to the absurdity of The Boat Show or Pet-o-philia.

Kurt, amazing story at the top. You seriously have the greatest tales ever. I would really listen to an entire podcast of just your stories. I’ve literally told the acid dj story to a number of people this week, hopefully they’ve started tuning in to this podcast at my suggestion.

I know a lot of people complain about like the beginning of podcasts being a bore, but I really really beg that you continue the structure of having a story up top. It’s so great

Holy shit! Never listened to this podcast because I didnt know what it was about. Should have jumped in a while ago! Love Eugene. I could have listened to another two hours! I got my tickets for the show on the 90th, Eugene. Ill meet you at S 8° 46′ 59.502″ W 124° 30′ 30.6828″. See you there!

Kurt, that intro story was seriously moving. We need more of those stories before the “tee-hees” of your podcast. Gold, my friend. Cutting yourself open and showing baring your soul the way you did in this ep’s intro followed by the silly, ridiculous format of the Boat Show, or Petophilia or Get Lost is the perfect pairing of comedy and tradegy. You’re getting Greek up in this piece. Something worth laughing at just to stop yourself from crying and something you’re laughing at so hard you might cry. Fantastic.

Shoot for that more often than not I think.
