  1. Tayten says:

Good point. I hadn’t thhugot about it quite that way. 🙂

  2. Cathie says:

Pirates of the Caribbean! Janet, I had the exact same experience as you but even more crazy.

I was born and bred in Southern California so I’ve been going to Disneyland multiple, multiple times every year since before I could walk. Like you, I never put two and two together that the ride is actually inside a building and that wasn’t really the sky. It wasn’t until I was 10 or 11 that I figured that part out. But it gets better!!

I also thought all the diners and waiters in the Blue Bayou restaurant at the beginning of the ride were animatronic. I never could figure out why the rest of the ride’s animatronics were so crappy when the ones in the restaurant were so lifelike! Don’t get me wrong, I still loved the ride, but it made no sense to me. It wasn’t until late junior high, when my family actually ate at the Blue Bayou for the very first time, that I realized it had always been real human beings in the restaurant the whole time! Talk about a “duh” moment. So embarrassing.

Oops, the auto-embedding thing doesn’t like timestamps. Momoa shows up around a minute in.

  4. PJ says:

Let me be a contrarian again and say Paul’s the most despicable Beatle…

And I’m OK with the Disney category, I just imagine the Simpsons equivalent, whether it’s Duffland or Icthy & Scratchy Land. And Pirates of the Caribbean at least I saw two of the movies, and those were based on the pre-movie ride.

As for calling sheep “hill maggots” (love it), lovingly or not, I don’t think anyone in NZ would mind. In fact, I’m sure someone like Peter Jackson would approve.

  5. Nichole says:

I hate when I have to say stupid/embarrassing names of entrees at restaurants haha – I always try to say something else.

I also just watched the first episode of Hello Ladies – it was great! I love Stephen Merchant’s humor!

The PoTC smell! I think it’s just chlorine? At least the one in FL smelled like that anyway haha

  6. Amy says:

Meet Me in St. Louis is one of the best movies ever. I’ve been in love with that movie since I was about 4 or 5. I was (okay, still am) obsessed with the fact that they make their own ketchup in that movie. While singing. It’s one of my life goals to make my own ketchup while singing.

  7. Joseph Young says:

Maybe it’s because Peruvian ruins are always tropical, lush and full of life and women are the life givers. Where as greek ruins are kind of salty and dry and battley …like dudes?

I did the same thing with numbers growing up. 1-9 have their own genders and personalities for some reason.

    Example:
2 – is a girl, her color is blue and she’s very artistic.
5 – is a boy, his color is yellow and he is kind of a jock
