The GOOSEBUMPS TV Theme Scares up an Epic Metal Cover

“Viewers beware, you’re in for a scare!” For almost 25 years, R. L. Stine has been bringing the horror genre to young readers in his Goosebumps novels. And it’s been just over twenty years since Fox adapted several of Stine’s books for a Goosebumps TV series, which still has a fan following to this day. With Halloween just around the corner, what better way is there to celebrate than by listening to an epic metal cover of the Goosebumps’ theme song?

Eric Calderone, a.k.a. Erock, has released his metalized take on the classic Goosebumps theme by Jack Lenz. Calderone stayed pretty faithful to Lenz’s tune, with a few original guitar riffs added throughout. “This one was definitely different,” wrote Calderone on his YouTube page. “I’ve always loved this tune but my first love was the books. Goosebumps was the start of my horror reading and my segway [sic] into Stephen King. Thank you R. L. Stine!”

You may recall that there was a Goosebumps movie that was released last year, and the Nerdist team created our Goosebumps inspired music video. Erock, if you’re reading this post, we’d love to see you cover “Bumps Gonna Goose Ya!” by our old friend, MF Bumps (Malik Forte) and Jack Black!

Calderone frequently releases new metal covers at his YouTube channel, which also has dozens of his previous covers. For more about Calderone and his music, check out his official site at Metalyze.com.
