The Force is Strong with New STAR WARS Ice Cream

Two things that make the world a better place are coming together in one fabulous combination: Star Wars and ice cream—together at long last! And we all have Ample Hills Creamery in Brooklyn, NY to thank for their collaboration with Disney Consumer Products to create a limited-edition Star Wars ice cream. It sounds like just the dessert we are looking for.

Packaged in collectible containers with original artwork, this sweet treat comes in two flavors: The Light Side and the Dark Side. The Light Side is a marshmallow ice cream swirled with homemade crispie clusters and a handful of handmade cocoa crispies to represent the dark side lurking within the light. Whoa. I don’t expect that sort of deep emotional exploration from ice cream, but OK!

The Light Side container features wookiee sidekick Chewbacca in his bowcaster stance, but it almost looks like he’s leaning back to belt out a karaoke tune. Star Wars, nothing but Star Wars!

The Dark Side container features member of the First Order, Kylo Ren. It is an—appropriately enough—ultra-dark chocolate ice cream with espresso fudge brownies, cocoa crispies, and white chocolate pearls. These of course represent the light hiding in the dark, waiting to burst through. Jeez, this is getting deep. Is this ice cream or a look into my psyche? Someone look closer at those ingredients before we all have a breakdown.

This special The Force Awakens ice cream is made from scratch on site but is only available for purchase online, not in the Ample Hills Creamery shops. It comes in a 4-pack, two pints of each flavor, for $36. A small price to pay for a doorstep delivery of the sweetest treat in the galaxy.

Will you be buying this collector-worthy ice cream? Let us know in the comments and more important, will you share with me?
