Japanese STAR WARS Desserts Are the Cutest Treats in the Galaxy

Purveyors of all things Star Wars are bringing their A-game for the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, especially in Japan, where toys and kawaii collectibles reign supreme. Now Japanese bakeries are getting in on the fun by creating spectacular confections for fans of food and space operas.

Ginza Cozy Corner has created a set of limited-edition desserts featuring tiny little Star Wars treats. And because Japan is well, Japan, the box is just as delightful as the edibles inside.

This set includes 9 delicate treats including a Storm Trooper cheese tart, Wicket Ewok chocolate roll cake, C-3PO lemon tart, Jabba the Hutt pistachio tart, Star Wars Logo raspberry and chocolate cake, R2-D2 yogurt cake, Darth Vader chocolate cake, the Imperial Army and Rebel Army pistachio and chocolate tart, and Yoda as a matcha powdered green tea tart. It almost looks too beautiful to eat… almost. The set will retail for 2,160 yen ($18) and is only available from November 1 until December 21.

Should you miss out on this special set, not to worry: there are even more options to choose from. Why not taste-test a special Artoo sponge cake topped with fresh cream and biscuit flakes, complete with an adorable accompanying box? Or maybe these are the droids you’re looking for, a two-pack that includes an R2-D2 cheese mousse cake and C-3PO lemon mousse cake. That’s just the tip of the dessert iceberg. There are Dark side pudding cups, specially packaged madeleines, cookies, and more. The packaging alone is a treat for any Star Wars fan.

Check out all of the desserts in the gallery below and let us know in the comments which of these kawaii Star Wars treats is your favorite!
