THE FLASH Solo Movie Finds a Director

The big-screen adaptation of The Flash has been without a director since Phil Lord and Chris Miller, previously attached to the project, had to depart to focus on directing the young Han Solo movie for Lucasfilm. But fans of the lightning-fast hero can rest easy, as the Hollywood Reporter disclosed this week that Seth Grahame-Smith is in negotiations to write and direct the film. Grahame-Smith, most well-known as the screenwriter of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, will pen the script from the outline Lord and Miller turned in, and will be making his feature film debut as a director with the project. Grahame-Smith’s resumé suggests that the movie will be a lighter, more comedic take on Barry Allen than the CW series.
